Leadership at Joli Ann

Leader In Me

Joli Ann Jaguars, TK-5th grade, have several leadership opportunities. From classroom 'leadership roles' to student-led conferences and assemblies. All of our students learn and practice 21st century skills such as taking initiative, responsibility, prioritization, collaboration, interpersonal relationships and public speaking.

  • Peace Patrol - Fourth and fifth grade students are trained in mediation skills. They use these conflict resolution skills on the playground during recess and lunch.

  • Safety Patrol - Fifth grade students who show good leadership qualities are selected to be members of Safety Patrol. These students serve the school by assisting crossing guards guiding pedestrians safely across the street.

  • Student Council - Two student classroom representatives are chosen from each of the 3rd - 5th grade classes. Student council officers are elected by students in 3rd-5th grade. This group assists in many of our school activities and is facilitated by Joli Ann Leichtag teachers.
