Homework Policy

Throughout the school year I will be assigning homework Monday through Thursday.  I feel homework is a very important part of your child’s education for the following reasons: homework helps teach your child responsibility, homework offers your child additional practice on concepts studied in class, and homework gives parents an excellent way to be involved with their child’s learning.

Homework assignments will take your child approximately 20 minutes and will reinforce concepts taught in class.  The homework should seem easy to your child and should provide a positive practice session. If your child is spending excessive time doing homework, if work is very difficult or frustrating, or if there are unusual family situations that interfere with homework, please be sure to write me a note.  That way I will know what your child needs help with and that an effort was made to complete the assignment.

Remember that homework is an important part of the learning process for your child, and a great way for you to keep up to date on the skills your child is learning.  Overseeing that homework is done consistently and properly shows your child that you value his or her education.

Póliza de Tareas

Durante el año escolar les daré tareas de Lunes a Jueves.  Siento que las tareas es una parte integral muy importante en la educación de sus hijos por las razones siguientes: las tareas ayudan a enseñarles a sus estudiantes ser responsables, las tareas le ofrecen a sus estudiantes practica adicional de los conceptos estudiados en clases, y las tareas les dan a los padres una manera excelente de involucrarse en el aprendizaje con su hijo/a.

Casi todas las tareas asignadas le tomara a su estudiante aproximadamente 20 minutos y se reenforzará el concepto enseñado en la clase.  La tarea deberá de ser fácil para su estudiante, le deberá provenir una sección de práctica positiva. Si su estudiante se tarda por mucho tiempo durante sus tareas, si el trabajo se le hace muy difícil y los frustra, o si hay alguna situación en casa que interfiera con la tarea, por favor escríbame una nota.  Así en esa manera yo voy a saber con lo que su estudiante necesita ayuda y de que si hizo el esfuerzo para completar la tarea.

Recuerde que las tareas  es una parte muy importante del proceso de aprender para su estudiante, y es también una gran manera de mantenerse al día de las habilidades que su estudiante esta aprendiendo.  Ayudando y checando las tareas del estudiante con consistencia le demuestra propiamente a su hijo/a que usted si avalora su educación.
