Dear Families,
Welcome to the beginning of your child’s learning experience in Room 700! My name is Molly Alexander and I am very excited to get to know you and your child this school year.
Fourth grade in an exciting time for students, as they will embark upon new adventures in the world of learning! This year is an important time for your children as their academic skills will be greatly accelerated. We have a lot to look forward to as we will read a large variety of literature, informational texts, explore numbers in new ways, refine our writing skills, learn about our nation’s or state’s history, discover new science concepts, and much more!
My philosophy is to educate the whole child while providing them with a safe, caring, and challenging learning environment. Educating the whole child involves teaching skills to support your child’s social and emotional well-being in conjunction with academics. Strong communication between parents and teacher is essential to maximize your students’ achievement. Your support and encouragement have a tremendous impact on your child’s success in the classroom and I strongly encourage you to be involved in monitoring assignments and other school-related activities throughout the year.
